Thank you!  We were excited by the responses to the Center's Training Survey conducted in November of 2007.  After careful review of the data, we have assembled the following training opportunities and events for your professional development in 2008.   The Nonprofit Development Center is here to serve the nonprofits of East Texas with professional training and consultation on all aspects of nonprofit management.

Grassroots Grants will teach you the basic skills you need to be an effective grant seeker:

  • Think like a funder

  • Build your case for support

  • Develop fundable projects

  • Reach out to educate and involve grant makers

  • Use the phone and face-to-face meetings to develop professional relationships.

  • Develop budgets that funders can relate to

  • Create compelling, easy to read, good looking documents

  • Administer and report grants after you are funded

Learn to manipulate masters, generate handouts and notes, work with graphical elements with emphasis on customization . Templates will be reviewed to show shortcuts and formatting techniques.

East Texas Chapter

 

AFP-East Texas Chapter is being developed to provide year 'round cutting edge resources and training for the professional interested in advancing his or her career in fundraising.

This effort is being led by a steering committee of distinguished professionals, and is sponsored by the Nonprofit Development Center with support from The Meadows Foundation.
