2-1-1 Texas is a program of the United Way of Tyler/Smith County in partnership with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.  2-1-1 East Texas is the designated Area Information Center for all of East Texas and maintains the 2-1-1 Community Resource Database for the region. By dialing 2-1-1 from anywhere in East Texas, the caller is connected to the Area Information Center and is concurrently linked to all of the information centers across the state.
